The Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is dredging the water channel on Jalan Kalibaru Timur Raya, RW 05, Bungur Urban Village, Senen. It has been ongoing since Thursday (3/7) and is targeted for completion in the upcoming April.

Senen Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Zulfahmi Baco said the dredging was aimed at anticipating inundation in the area because some channels were filled with mud.
"More than half the height of the channel is strewn with mud. If it is ignored, it will cause inundation," he said, Monday (3/18).

"The work progress has reached 25 percent," he asserted.
The dredging work received appreciation from RW 05, Bungur Urban Village Resident, Dhony.
"The mud is indeed thick. Hopefully, the work can complete quickly," he stated.
